Monthly Results
Average daily yields for farms using Kingshay costings declined between June and July from 26.8 litres/cow to 26.0 litres/cow, a decrease of 0.8 litres/cow (3.0%). However the average for July is 0.7 litres/cow (2.8%) higher when compared to the same month last year.
Average Butterfat levels rose between June and July from 3.82% to 3.88%, an increase of 0.06 of a percentage point. Compared to the previous year, the July average is 0.01 of a percentage point down on July 2009.
The average milk price for Kingshay farms in July stood at 24.82ppl, an increase of 1.17ppl (4.9%) compared to June. Against the previous year, the July price was 0.40ppl (1.6%) more than July 2009.

Rolling Annual Averages
Rolling annual data for the 12 months to July showed a 176 litres per cow increase in the average milk yield to 7,972 litres per cow, equivalent to an increase of 2.3%. Over the period, butterfat levels remained at the same level of 4.04% and protein levels increased by 0.01 percentage points to 3.25%. The milk price fell by 1.36ppl (5.3%) from 25.86ppl to 24.50ppl in the 12 month period ending July.
